Transforming Lives Through the Power and Ministry of Jesus Christ, is our interpretation of a practical and biblical mandate that acts as motivation for us as we engage I in ministry. We adapt this mandate in order to help membership to develop Christ-like character and to fulfill their God-given potentials. This approach to Ministry has the potential to cause explosive growth of church and effective nurture of the local congrigation.

The goal of growing the Church and maturing lives is a Command given by Christ to: “Go make disciples of all…” (Matthew 28:19 NIV).

To be engage in ‘Transforming Lives’ involves:
1. Accept people where we find them
2. Identify where they are in their experiences in life
3. Help them find healing for their hearts and minds,
4. Teach them to build trusting relationships through love and
5. Show them how to experience Christ's forgiveness.

This goal must include pastors, leaders and members, being driven by well-defined purpose, informed by specific and well thought out Core Values.

The Core Values
There are six (6) Functions which inform the Transforming Lives Mission and are the Core Values of the Portmore Holiness Christian Church (PHCC). The leadership of Church is deliberate in ensuring that the objective of all planned activities and programmes reflect these Core Values. This will also build new bridges that will allow for increased the Church’s Ministries and greater involvement in the life of the Community.

The Vision of the PHCC
• Develop a transformed community of people as a practical demonstration of the Kingdom of God at work through the ministry of Jesus Christ.

• Develop a spiritual environment which facilitates the Holy Spirit’s Ministry to the body, seen and manifested in spirit-filled lives, Christ-likeness in character and conduct, reflected in practical expression of love and genuine fellowship.

• Mature the membership to the highest commitment and service through continual exposure to Ministry; utilize the membership in the programmes of the Church, to include small group and provide opportunity for the effective utilization of gifts and talents. Also equipping the membership through training in Personal Evangelism, Mass Evangelism; and creating an Evangelism sensitive congregation that will continually impact their communities with the Gospel of Jesus

• Achieve effective leadership development & discipleship for all level of the membership to include youth and children, through carefully developed Bible Study Programmes, Biblical Instruction, and carefully designed Training & Development Programmes.

• Complete and fully occupy the PHCC Worship Centre & Multi-purpose Complex on the Hill on the Hellshire Main Road.

• Effectively engage in ministry and social outreach through P.A.R.E.N.T.S. to the community of Greater Portmore, the wider Portmore communities.

• Continually researching and implementing carefully developed purpose driven programmes and strategies, designed to achieve optimum levels of effectiveness in the operations of the six (6) Biblically based distinctive.
